Merry Christmas

Thomas, Alex, and Auntie Chrissy came to visit us this past week. We had lots of fun. We had a big snowstorm on Friday so we got to play in the snow with Thomas. We had sleep overs in our room on the air mattress. Much to our parents surprise, we all fell asleep pretty easily and quietly. The boys are getting so big. Thomas, I still have the Handy Manny toy for you, just tell me when to send it.
Unlike Jenna and Kelsey's Christmas list, our is a little to extensive (and expensive according to mommy) to post on the blog.

Alex didn't want to join us in the group photo. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. To a healthy, happy, and fun 2009.

Kaylee's Weekend

Godparents Aunt Melanie and cousin Adam.
Kaylee looks to be praying already as Aunt B helps her into her gown.

Meghan and her friend Elizabeth made the 2 little cake decorations that are in front of the cake.

YUM!!!

Yes, it was a whole weekend dedicated to Kaylee Jeanne. She had a birthday party on Saturday and then a Christening on Sunday. Lots of family was here to celebrate and it was nice to see everyone together. Kaylee was good at her baptism as long as Father Michael wasn't touching her. She didn't mind the water on the head. She got lots of fun toys and cute clothes for her birthday. Thanks to all.

Gymfest

The girls had gymfest at gymnastics. Meghan has come a long way and is learning more difficult tricks like back handsprings and back walk overs. Paige has a way to go but is coming along as it is only her first year doing it. They both really enjoy it and you can tell when they are there that they do.

Thanksgiving/Kaylee turns 1

Thanksgiving coincided with Kaylee's 1st birthday. It was a nice day at Nanna and PopPop's even with the Green bean incident. Nanna knows what I am talking about. The girls helped Kaylee open her first present. It was a toy ladybug with lots of buttons and lights. She loved her Banana cream pie in lieu of a birthday cake.

The Parade

This is the new game the girls play. They call it the parade. Kaylee leads and the girls follow. As you can see Kaylee is now walking with her toy. The baby gates are up and the outlets are covered. She has a big weekend coming up with her birthday being on Thanksgiving and her baptism on Sunday.

Finally moving

Well it only took ten months but Kaylee has two teeth, is finally crawling all over, and feeding herself. She also the other day was standing in her crib. She has discovered how to hit the buttons on the DVD player and the Cable box. I imagine in another few days there will be baby gates up. Oh well, it had to happen at some point.

Mia: witch, Maddi: witch, Paige: WW

Above left: Kaylee, Bobby, Gabi, Sam, Sidney, Felipe, Paige, and Maddi
Some pictures from Halloween. I had to explain who Supergirl and Wonder Woman were to the girls as they had no idea. They just liked the costumes in the catalog.

Halloween is always a neighborhood event.

More pics

Just one more girls, then we're done!! OK, now one more. I swear this is the last one, now all look at the camera!!

Kaylee and Adam at the Baptism. What is he telling her?? The apple Pie festival.

meghan and Aunt B are clearly enjoying theirs.

Columbus day Weekend

It was a busy weekend up in VT. Kelsey and Jenna were baptized on Saturday. It was a great day. Brian and Laurie are Godparents (Brian to Jenna, Laurie to Kelsey). My Godchild slept through the entire proceedings without a flinch where as Jenna was very attentive and kept herself busy by sucking on her hand. There has got to be a tooth in there somewhere. Unfortunately, I had to leave Sat. night to go back to work on Sunday and I took Kaylee with me. After her display on Friday night she was not allowed to stay for the rest of the time!! That was a rough night. Meghan and Paige met two friends at the campground who they played with last year. Sunday the family partook in the Apple Pie festival, Pumpkins, and apple picking. Maybe next year I will actually stay for the whole time. Here are some pics.

Hey Aunt B, you made the Blog!!!!

It's Been a While....

Well, a lot has happened since the last post. The girls are busy with school and gymnastics. They have started their country study in Multiage and they are studying......Auntie Susie will love this.....China!! I told them to call Auntie Susie as she has been there a few times. Big developments with Kaylee. She now has 2 bottom teeth, will only eat solid food, and still is not sleeping through the night. She is still not crawling however she can scoot on her butt. She likes to stand but can't do it herself yet, though she sure is trying. She also has discovered the buttons on the DVD player are within her reach. She had her 9 month check up and weighed in at a whopping 15 pounds. That's 5% on the charts. The girls are looking forward to Halloween and all have their costumes. Paige is going to be Wonder woman, Meghan is going to be Super girl, and Kaylee is going to be a purple and pink butterfly. I will post some pictures as soon as I get batteries in my camera.

To Colin Charles

Some people live for 80 years with no lasting memories, others are only here a short time and leave their impression on you forever. Colin endured more in two years than some of us do in a lifetime. He taught us strength, bravery, and love. He had two of the most caring, compassionate, and strong parents we have ever known. We will never know their pain, as no one should, but know that we are here for you all whenever you need us. Thank you to all of our friends and family who offered words of comfort and support in this difficult time. And of course to the Girls night crew for understanding, support, and food. God bless you Colin. We love you.

Update

I thought I should put out a post since it has been a while. Since the last post, Brian celebrated his 36th birthday. As you can see we had lobster......a 6 lb lobster!! Of course we waited until the girls were all asleep so we could actually enjoy our dinner, it was delicious. We also went to Syracuse to celebrate Colin's 2nd birthday. Here are the girls and Colin.
Kaylee is now standing up, still not crawling yet, but likes to stand and hold on to something. She seems to be a bit lazy, she still can't (won't) pick up food and feed it to herself.
A picture of Colin before he opens his presents. He can't contain his excitement.
Meg has already had two sick days. She has been home with a fever. Paige and Meghan started gymnastics. Paige loved it. It is her first year doing it, Meghan's third. I tried to post a video of Kaylee talking, but I can't get it to download, I think it is too long. Oh well, until next post.

First Day of School

Well, they are off. It was mixed emotions for mom. They were clearly all set with summer, the bickering was increasing, Paige is ready for full day school. But it is awfully quiet around here. Meghan was nervous, she didn't even eat breakfast. Paige was Paige, going with the flow. Don't they look cute in their little dresses?
Paige looks like a big kid now. No more baby face. No backpacks this year. It's all about the messenger bag.
An update on the girls: Paiges's nose looks much better and Meghan's lyme screen came back positive. 21 days of Amoxicillin for Meg.
