Uncle Timmy was in NYC for business so Meg and I took a roadie to see the new Citi Field for the first time. Meg had a blast meeting Mr. Met and seeing the homerun apple again. Meg got to see the apple in action on a homerun by Jeff Francouer as the Mets came from behind to win 7-3 on a grand slam homerun in the 8th (Meg was tired and we were gone by that time!!). It was a great time seeing Uncle Timmy.

Vacation 2009 AKA the great rain out
We took our family vacation last week and when I say there was no sun, I literally mean there was no sun. We had 3 hours of sun when we got there. We got a little sun on Wednesday and that was it. The rest of the time was spent dodging thunderstorms. We hit the New England Aquarium despite mommy getting the 24 hour bug. We made it on our whale watch, Paige and mommy got a little seasick, but good news, no one vomited on the boat. We broke down the pop up in the pouring rain, that doesn't even describe it exactly, it was pouring buckets. According to Pop Pop, that builds character, i am all set for life.

Paige's dance recital
Paige had her dance recital back in June. She did great. The tap number got a little dicey towards the end, they all just kind of stood around wondering what to do next. But the nice thing was when they came off stage they all were still so proud of themselves and thought they did great....which they did. The ballet number went off without any problems. Paige has decided for now anyway that she will do dance again next year. She changes her mind constantly. She has come a long way from the first recital when I pushed her out on stage and she ran off crying.
